When you enter the campus you will get direction from the security guards. Your vehicle will be inspected and you will need to show a picture ID.  You may be asked where you are going.  Mention that you are going to Building 10 Clinical Center.

After security clearance, follow signs for Patient Parking (of Clinical Center).  The Patient Parking can be used in the evening by everyone.  It is also called “P1 parking garage  It is an indoor garage at the far northwest side of the NIH campus. At the entrance to the parking garage, there is a large RED sign board which says Patient Parking.

− Once you enter P1 Parking of Clinical Center underground indoor parking garage, you would need to pull a ticket (if you arrive before 7 PM) to let the security lift gate open.  However, there is no charge.  Again, you will need to show your picture ID and car will be searched when you enter this P1 garage.  When asked, mention you are going to the 3rd floor Toastmasters meeting room 3-1608.

−Shortly after entering the garage, in the left corner of the parking lot is the entrance to the hospitals new Hatfield Clinical Research Center lobby.  At the entrance to the building is written on the wall, Mark O Hatfield Clinical Research Center.  Enter and go through double door marked West Entrance.

−As you enter, there is a semi-round infomation table (no one is there in the evening)  Across from there, on the right side of the lobby are the elevators. Take South Elevators to the 3rd floor.

−When you exit elevator on to the 3rd floor, follow the sign (hanging from ceiling) that says (among other things) "3SW Intensive Care”.  (You are walking north).   As you walk north, take left turn at the end of hallway, just before a large open waiting room with built in sectional sofa leather seats. At this point there are signs on the left wall for rest rooms.  After you turn left, turn right immediately at the end of the short hallway.  You will walk along hallway still going north. You will pass by the beautiful open solarium (2 floors below you) on your right.

−Where the hallway ends turn left (west).  At this point a hanging ceiling sign says 3NW Inpatient Unit.  Then turn right within a few steps. You will pass by a rest room on the left.  Room 3-1608 is at the end of the hallway, facing you.
